National Indian Health Board + Native News Online

Welcome to season two of Hope & Healing, a podcast about health issues and health options for tribal citizens and tribal leaders.

Over the next 13 episodes, we’re going to talk about some of the most pressing health equity issues in our community.  We’ll interview health experts from across Indian Country and relatives who are affected most. We’ll dive into topics such as the opioid crisis in Native communities, maternal mortality among Native women, and environmental health in Indigenous communities.

We’ll also shine a light on what Native communities are doing to improve health outcomes for their citizens.

Health care is a complex topic, but we’ll be sure to keep things straightforward, accessible, and jargon free.

Interested in healthcare in Indian Country? You can find all kinds of useful information and Tribal resources at the National Indian Health Board website. Plus, you can keep up to date on Indian health news at the Native News Health Desk. Questions or comments? We’d love to hear from you. Email us at podcast@nativenewsonline.net.
